With over 30 years of international experience in consumer, industrial, automotive and transportation design, Ray Carter has achieved a level of quality assurance and measurable results that his long established clients such as BMW, Nokia, Siemens and Compaq have come to depend on. After studying at Art Center College of Design, Ray Carter began his professional career at the office of Henry Dreyfus and associates in Pasadena California, and later in New York City where he designed for and managed such clients as Polaroid, Singer, Bell Laboratories, John Deere and American Airlines. In 1973, Ray Carter returned to the west coast and opened the Designworks uSa offi ce with his friend and internationally well known designer Charles Pelly which they in turn grew into one of the top product and transportation design offi ces in the world. Currently running his own design consultancy he draws upon his knowledge of people, the design process and his international network, built up over many years to achieve his goals.
